The Future…no one asked for.
While each week seems filled with insanity, last week, a humanoid robot that’s been programmed to teach children seemed to take the cake.
We didn’t ask for this.
No one asked for this.
We want our children to learn that they’re on a hero’s journey in life. Life will be hard, yes, but doing hard things builds a grit and confidence that no one can take from you.
A robot will never understand the human plight, even if it does develop a consciousness or becomes sentient….and we all shudder in The Terminator vibes…
But no matter how you look at this, what our children are learning is that no matter who has power in our country, they are not looking out for our best interests.
And those same children are now watching us adults.
The real question is - Will we take this moment and change our future for the good?
Or
Will will we give up and let those in power do what they will with us?
What’s the lesson we will model to our children?
A Hero’s Journey is never easy, but this is the moment in any good story where the hero needs to accept his call to adventure and change the future for good.
Are you ready to accept your call to adventure?
P.S. My money is on the 13 year olds in the kids vs. robot classroom. They’ll either take the robot apart in five minutes or have it reprogrammed to give out candy in less than an hour.
