Freedom Thinkers is a real K-12 homeschool micro school, not a gimmick or a gag. Just a micro school built for the curious children & teens who get bored too fast in traditional classroom environments. Opening August 2026.
The Quick Version
K-12
Mixed ages and self-paced. No keeping up with (or waiting on) a teacher.
Four, two, or one
day options. It’s real flexibility, not a marketing word.
Quests
Project based and real world learning over 5-6 weeks. No boring packets of worksheets here.
Badges
These are mastery based. Learners move on when they actually know it.
Outside & Movement
Real outdoor time and movement breaks every single day. We do not believe in just 10 minutes of recess per day!
Bilingualism Encouraged
Learning multiple languages is celebrated internationally…why not here, too?! With children, we have an immersion method for learning Spanish. Teens will be using English to Spanish cognates to learn the language quickly.
You're Carrying A Lot Right Now
If you're the one planning the curriculum, the meals, the schedule, with the endless search for a co-op, a class, an activity, or anyone nearby who actually gets it and could be friends with your family, you're not just tired. You're doing the job a whole village used to share, by yourself.
And you've probably felt the compromise that comes with it: you take whoever's around, because "proximity friendship" is what you can find, not because they're who you'd actually choose. Deep friendship, the kind where someone knows your family and is working toward and cheering on deep goals too, takes more than a local homeschool Facebook group and a pinch of good luck.
