New Trails & Ways to Join Our Village

For a while now, our village has had one main path: four days a week, full immersion, the whole Hero’s Journey trail from start to finish. And for so many families, that's exactly the right fit.

But we've been fielding phone calls from families with different rhythms, different needs, and different sized backpacks for this season of life. So we're excited to share that there are now more ways to walk the trail with us.

Two Days a Week: Same Trail, Shorter Stretch

Starting now, families can join us two days a week and still walk the exact same path as our four-day families.

That means:

  • The same books

  • The same quests, badges, and goals

  • The same field trips

  • The same big, meaningful work

The only real difference? Pace. Two-day families will keep a consistent rhythm at home to stay on track, but the destination, the content, and the heart of the experience are identical. This is a real seat at the table, not a lighter version of one.

(Quick note: because our four-day families are the backbone of our full-time village, they'll always take priority when space is limited. But we're thrilled to open up this wider trail.)

One Day a Week: Build & Blow Up Fridays

And for families who want a taste of the village without a weekly commitment, we're introducing something we're pretty excited about: Build & Blow Up Fridays.

Every other Friday, for three hours, kids gather to build something loud, something clever, or something they get to take home — think cardboard engineering, circuits that spring to life, science experiments that go boom (safely, we promise). It's hands-on, it's messy in the best way, and it's built for curiosity.

A few things to know:

  • Parents stay for the first visit and after that, drop-off is available for families who've read Hunt, Gather, Parent and The Secrets of Happy Families

  • Cost runs $40–$70 per session, depending on that week's build

  • We need at least five kids signed up for each session to run! If we don't hit that number, the session is cancelled and fully refunded.

This one's open to any homeschooling family who wants to come explore with us, whether or not you're part of our regular village.

Why This Matters

Every family's trail looks a little different. Some need the full path every day. Some need a shorter stretch twice a week. Some just want to come build something wild every other Friday and see where the curiosity leads.

Now, there's a way to say yes to all of it.

We can't wait to see who joins us on the adventure, however often, however far.
